Human Rights Defense Center in Action

The Human Rights Defense Center is engaged in a wide variety of activism and advocacy on behalf of the human rights of people held in U.S. detention facilities. Despite our limited resources, HRDC conducts advocacy campaigns on a variety of issues, including the Campaign for Prison Phone Justice, which addresses the high phone rates that prisoners' families must pay in order to receive calls from their incarcerated loved ones.
